Likeable bass player meets hardcore / postcore loving photographer
Her body, a work of art. Her gaze, profound. Her passion, hard music.
Babette is part of a metalcore band and elicits powerful sounds from the electric bass.
She lets her energy run free on stage. In the photo studio, however, things become more profound. She talks about her life and provides insights into her soul. That's exactly why these pictures are the way they are. Quiet moments, clear looks, but also a lot of joy.
Your band - precious from Kassel.

My contribution
Babette traveled from Kassel for our photo shoot. We had a quick chat, made some arrangements and off we went. I talk to people a lot during the shoot. I want to find out more about the person and their experiences. This creates trust. This trust is essential for very personal pictures.
I wanted to capture the musician as personally and approachably as possible in the black and white images. Still and moving moments. But also with an instrument. That's why I have a Fender electric bass in my studio, which is perfect for black and white shots.
The subsequent image editing was done in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. A natural style is always very important to me, especially with artist portraits. The pictures should always reflect Babette's personality.
What I appreciate about Babette is her trusting and friendly manner. An artist with a very special and appreciative manner. Thank you for the day and the impressive photos.
I found the shoot with you very professional and the atmosphere pleasantly relaxed. It felt to me as if we had known each other for a long time, which made it easier for me, as a relatively inexperienced model, to pose in front of the camera. At no point did I feel insecure or uncomfortable. It was really a lot of fun and the pictures turned out great! Many thanks for that.
