Bar manager of the RUDOLF BAR
Joe Rivas is deputy manager and bar manager at the RUDOLF BAR in Herrenberg near Stuttgart. The bar stands for exclusive events, high-quality dishes and fantastic cocktails.
My contribution
I was able to photograph Joe during his work as a bartender and capture some very personal and quiet moments. The photos were taken in natural ambient light. The location was the RUDOLF BAR and the LudwigLOFT.
As the result was black and white shots, we also made sure to use light-colored or white spirits/liquids when selecting the drinks. This contrast to a black shirt made the drinks stand out more.
The images were developed and edited in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. A natural style is always very important to me. The pictures should show Joe as he feels in his job as a bar manager and also in his private life in quiet moments.
What I appreciate most about Joe is his friendly manner and his wealth of ideas. Especially the pictures with the "fire cocktails" are awesome. Many thanks for the relaxed collaboration.
