Playmobil Pink comic book
A Playmobil magazine especially for girls aged 4 to 7. Here the characters come to life and tell sweet and humorous little stories. There are also puzzles, competitions and exclusive posters on 36 colorful pages.
For 50 years, the Horst Brandstätter Group - with its Playmobil brand - has been inspiring young and old alike and awakening dreams of another world. Encouraging creativity is very important to Playmobil. Playfully moving around in colorful worlds - perhaps even "getting lost" - certainly helps children to get to know and discover their surroundings better.
The world is colorful and diverse. And this can also be the case with Playmobil Pink Comics. The design can be eye-catching, bright and playful.
Attract attention
Research has shown that children in particular react strongly to bright colors. A classic graphic design would therefore not be effective here. The packaging should be bright and stand out on the magazine shelf. Standing out from the crowd is very important here. And create a special shopping experience.
My contribution
The aim was to create a comic book for Playmobil and Blue Ocean Verlag in Stuttgart. Blue Ocean Verlag is a licensee and regularly publishes the Playmobil Pink Comics. The Playmobil magazine corporate design plays a key role in the implementation. In addition to the fixed elements such as logo, color and font, there are also many design freedoms.
The comics are playful and contain many different elements. Here I had to work with some Photoshop layers and various visuals / drawings to fill the pages with life.
The booklet was typeset and designed by me in Adobe InDesign and finalized for production. Open data with integrated color profiles were finally handed over to the print shop.
